Is it the sun? Whoa!
It's amazing how just a couple of hours of sunshine can lift your mood. It's been freaking cold, cloudy and rainy for the past several weeks. I really dislike Novembers in Ottawa, since it's so glum and depressing. All you see is cold rain and clouds.
However, I can't complain TOO much. At least this isn't Vancouver. Isn't it like this during the summers?

it is lovely!! vancouver would be a good place to live if it wasn't raining for a month straight. Anyways, you should go/work outside and enjoy it!! :D
Sunshine! Awesome. We got an hour of that yesterday afternoon. I bet you can turn on your taps and drink up though. You're rolling in it. So big bro - Two things I want for Christmas this year:
1) Sunshine
2) potable water
Things are looking good, cause I'm coming home for the holidays. I'm not enjoying the lovely viscous skim on the surface of my yummy boiled water... mmmmmmmm.... I'm still laughing because the City of Vancouver just did a whole PR blitz about how stupid it is to buy bottled water when we have an amazing watershed with great, clean water. Which I totally agreed with. Now, I schlep around town looking for the odd 500 mL bottle of water that hasn't been bought up by the water-hoarders. For now my cat will drink rainwater. I'll skim mine off and drink away and pretend I'm camping. The silt adds a lovely earthy flavour and texture to coffee.... But really, good thing the sun hasn't been out, so I can't see the yellow tinge in the water- is it odd that I gauge my water quality by checking the toilet? It's a white background afterall. I'm counting my blessings! At least I have power. Yay Vancouver!
I don't get it. What's wrong with lovely viscous skim and textured coffee?
At least it's not cold... we just got a dump of snow and it's cold. I'll take rainy and sad over cold and snowy and windy!!
What are your Christmas plans this year?
Yeah. I agree with Kristina. It's -25 (as a high) in Edmonton right now, so you have no business complaining about the RAIN of all things.
Ha ha. Yes guys, you're right. I shouldn't really complain. But isn't it always sunny in Alberta? I'd rather it be cold and sunny than rainy and cloudy. But maybe that's just my old Calgary roots talking.
Remember that Guns and Roses song called November Rain? I never really understood the concept of rain in winter until I moved east. Until then, I thought that the weather in Alberta was considered "normal". Little did I know...
Yes, but there's cold and then there is COLD.
I agree, cold and sunny is okay. But COLD and sunny? Sorry... the only people who think that's better is people who either a) Don't have to drive in it (like my mother) or b)haven't experienced it in awhile :) and have forgotten just how cold COLD actually is.
I'll settle for warm and rainy... at least then my car doesn't make funny groaning noises and I'm not freaked that I'm going to slide of the highway. Even in my winter tires! Wish me a good commute today... I'm gonna need it! TTYL
hey how come you didn't give me this blog when leon and mil gave me theirs last night? hahaha. I guess it's cause your latest update was in Nov. but to both you and mil... I disagree... Vancouver is a great place to live regardless :)
